Hate Your Headshots? Let’s Fix That!

We’ve all been there: you snap a selfie or get a headshot taken, and the results make you cringe instead of smile. If you’ve ever been too embarrassed to share your headshots, you’re not alone. The good news? You don’t have to settle for photos that don’t feel like you.

Here’s why headshots sometimes go sideways and why it’s totally worth giving them another shot.

1. The Angle is Awful We all know the struggle of finding the “magic angle” with a cellphone. Or worse, the photographer was in a rush, and the photos ended up feeling as flat as a pancake. Sure, mini sessions are quick and budget-friendly, but if the photographer isn’t on their A-game, the results can leave you less than thrilled.

2. It’s All About Connection A great headshot starts with understanding the person in front of the camera. If the photographer didn’t take the time to get to know you or ask about your needs, it’s no wonder the photos feel off. Your headshot should reflect you your personality, professionalism, and unique vibe.

3. Lack of Guidance Not everyone is a pro at posing and that’s okay! But if the photographer didn’t explain how to stand, what to do with your hands, or how to relax, the session probably felt awkward. And awkward feelings often lead to awkward photos.

Ready for a Do-Over? If you’re ready to ditch those cringe-worthy selfies or upgrade your headshots, I’ve got you covered. At Studio 21, we make the process fun, relaxed, and all about YOU. You’ll leave with photos that you’re proud to share, whether it’s for LinkedIn, your website, or just because.
