Melissa has officially moved Studio 21 into her brand-new, 2,500-square-foot downtown studio at 1408 Broadway Ave, Mattoon, IL. This stunning space features built-in photography sets, a three-station salon for professional hair and makeup services, and a warm, welcoming environment designed to pamper every client.
The downtown studio isn’t just a photography space—it’s a creative hub. Melissa’s vision extends beyond her own work: she has opened the doors for collaboration, offering opportunities for other photographers, stylists, and artists to create, connect, and thrive. With golden tin ceilings, vintage-inspired furnishings, and her signature cinematic style, Studio 21 now radiates the luxurious yet approachable atmosphere that Melissa has always dreamed of bringing to her community.
From intimate headshots to high-energy senior portraits and unforgettable events, Melissa continues to deliver a “celebrity treatment” experience for her clients. Skylor Harden – First Assistant & Creative Powerhouse

​Skylor Harden is a multi-talented artist with a passion for creativity in many forms. As the firstborn son of photographer Melissa M. Harden, he has inherited a keen artistic eye and a deep love for visual storytelling. His talents span across pencil sketching, acrylic painting, digital art, and graphic design, making him a sought-after creative. Skylor has been commissioned to design t-shirts for institutions like Arthur Christian School and has also crafted unique logos for businesses and organizations.
Beyond his work as an artist, Skylor is also a gifted writer, photographer, and videographer, bringing a unique blend of artistry and technical skill to every project. As First Assistant at the studio, he plays a vital role in ensuring every session runs smoothly while adding his own creative touch. His versatility, talent, and dedication make him an invaluable part of the team, helping to bring artistic visions to life with skill and passion.
