When potential customers or employers come across your online portfolio or profile, do you think your bio is giving them enough information and the right information? As you start reviewing your bio, keep in mind that you have about 20 seconds to grab the attention of the person viewing it. Are you starting strong? Are you including intriguing details that will keep them interested? Try to establish credibility early on and don’t forget to share one or two of your biggest achievements as well as your goals. Then there’s the length. Even though you want to provide the reader with detailed information, it’s important to keep your bio concise. In other words, give someone enough to spike their interest and to contact you for further details. Aim for about 300–500 words when constructing a bio.
